Historic Creamery. New Gathering Place.
The Creamery at Norwalk
We are restoring the old Norwalk Creamery into a seasonal place to gather, relax, and follow what is coming next.
The first clear direction is the grounds: a seasonal beer garden with room for community, music, markets, and simple evenings outside. More ideas are being explored carefully, and we will share updates as the property takes shape.
A seasonal outdoor destination, built slowly and intentionally.
We are not announcing everything before it is ready. The site will grow in phases, with the beer garden and restoration updates leading the way.
The best way to know what is opening, when events are happening, and how the property is changing is to join the newsletter and follow on Facebook.
The Creamery is meant to feel true to Norwalk: historic, welcoming, outdoorsy, and simple enough to become part of people's weekend rhythm.
What We Are Planning
Clear plans now. More possibilities ahead.
The Creamery is still taking shape, so this site now separates what we know from what we are exploring. That keeps expectations honest while still showing the larger vision.
Seasonal Beer Garden
Outdoor seating, relaxed evenings, and a destination atmosphere on the historic creamery grounds.
Markets & Vendor Days
Seasonal vendor opportunities and community market days may become part of the property calendar.
Flowers & Outdoor Spaces
The fields may be used for gardens, photo moments, picnics, or other seasonal experiences.
Events
Event ideas for the months ahead.
Dates are not final yet, but the property has room for fun seasonal programming. These are the kinds of events we may build toward as the grounds open.
Date Night Picnics
Art Nights
Family Fun Days
Blow Up Character Races
Christmas Tree Bonfire
Chili Cookoff
Hobo Fest
History
The creamery story, and the trail story around it.
Village planning material describes the Norwalk Creamery as completed on September 2, 1902, with operations beginning in 1903 and continuing until 1992.
Norwalk is tied to the Elroy-Sparta State Trail corridor, known for rail-trail history, cyclists, and tunnel passages that make the area memorable.
History references include the Village of Norwalk Strategic Action Plan and Wisconsin DNR Elroy-Sparta State Trail materials.
